About Melissa

Melissa Fine is a 17 year old singer-songwriter out of Boston, MA. Heavily influenced by artists like Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, and Adele, the young singer incorporates elements of jazz, folk, alternative, and r&b into her songwriting.

In 2014, Melissa, 14, dropped her debut album, Here To Stay, featuring nine original songs. Here To Stay; co-produced by Lisa Yves, Bob Fine, and Melissa herself; came in 43rd on the iTunes New Pop Releases chart within the first week of its publication.

Since the release, Melissa has been non-stop creating—she plans to drop her second studio album, which she is co-producing with Lisa Yves, in the upcoming months. Recently, Melissa worked with KXB Studio (Philadelphia, PA) and Keep The Edge Studios (Quincy, MA) to create two incredible music videos: one of which will be released with the new album and the other which can be found on Youtube.

Melissa experiments with intricate layering and harmonies, a technique that brings cohesion to her diverse writing style. When she is not writing original music, Melissa creates exciting vocal mashups of popular songs with the help of her loop pedal.

The young artist was lucky enough to attend the Berklee College of Music's 5 week program, where she was awarded a scholarship to attend the college starting in fall of 2018. At the program, Melissa was chosen to perform an original song in the Performing Songwriter Showcase.

Though Melissa loves spending time in the studio, her heart lies onstage. She has been performing solo around Massachusetts for the past couple years, and strives to bring joy to music-lovers.
